1. Who we are
Duivendates is a service by Tortelen. We process your personal data and we are responsible for it. Got a question? Email us at privacy@duivendates.nl.
2. What data we collect
We only ask for what we need to bring you a good match and a nice date:
- your name, email address and phone number;
- the profile information you fill in yourself, such as photos, preferences and interests;
- identity verification data, processed by our verification partner;
- payment data, processed by our payment provider Mollie;
- technical data such as your IP address, browser type and device.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to:
- look for and suggest a good match for you;
- plan and organise your date;
- process your payment;
- verify your identity, so everyone is dealing with a real person;
- improve our service;
- send you messages about your match or date.
4. Sharing with third parties
We only share your data with parties we need to run the service: our payment provider Mollie, our identity verification partner Buckaroo and our email provider Resend. Beyond that, we keep your data to ourselves. We never sell it.
5. Security
We handle your data carefully. Everything is stored and sent encrypted, and only the people on our team who really need access can get to it.
6. Your rights
The GDPR gives you a number of rights over your own data:
- access to what we hold about you;
- correction of anything that is wrong;
- deletion of your data;
- restriction of processing;
- portability of your data;
- objection to processing.

7. Retention period
As long as your account is active, we keep your data. If you delete your account, we erase your personal data within 30 days. Sometimes we have to keep something longer, because the law requires it.
8. Cookies
Our site only uses the cookies needed to make it work. No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies. So we do not follow you around the web.
9. Changes
Now and then we update this privacy policy. If something important changes, we will let you know by email or with a notice on the site.
